Registration for the 2018 conference is now open.

Before registering, please review Registration Information (rates, cancellations, guest fee)

Please note, when you register, you will first be asked to choose a registration category, then will choose your conference rate and select any additional paid, ticketed sessions or events (e.g. preconferences, networking events) for both delegates and Guests, and to select a Guest registration if needed. You will then be asked to provide the name of any Guest(s), choose the free events Guests are entitled to attend (e.g. opening reception, author talks). On the next page, you will see any paid events you have selected and all included sessions and events (e.g. breakout sessions, opening reception, author talks) for delegates.

NB: Please include your library or organization name exactly as you wish it to appear on your conference nametag.

LAA Member

This category is for library staff. Public library trustees must choose the ALTA option. To access LAA Member prices, login using your email address and LAA website password. If you need to renew your membership, login to renew online. Not a member? Join Today! Your membership fee plus the early bird conference rate will be less than the early bird non-member rate! And you'll get the benefits of LAA membership for a year!

PRemember, your institutional membership allows ONE person to register at the member rate. Also, please don't log in and register more than one person under one LAA membership profile, even if they are eligible for the member rate. It's particularly important not to register your Trustees under an LAA membership profile as it has accounting implications.
 

ALTA Member

This category is for public library trustees. Library staff must choose the LAA option. Click below to register and select the ALTA Member price option when you register. Please note that the ALTA Number asked for is the ALTA MEMBERSHIP NUMBER FOR YOUR BOARD, not the user ID you use to log in to the ALTA website. You do not need a password to register for the conference.


 

Student

Multiple Registrations

Are you doing the registrations for several people at your library? Here are some tips:

LAA members

To get the LAA member rate, LAA members need to be logged in to their LAA account.

Remember, your institutional membership allows ONE person to register at the member rate. Also, please don't log in and register more than one person under one LAA membership profile, even if they are eligible for the member rate. It's particularly important not to register your Trustees under an LAA membership profile as it has accounting implications.

It may be easier to have each member register and choose the cheque option. They can provide you with a copy of their confirmation/invoice and you can send a cheque along with the invoices, to cover all your registrants.

If you do want to register all your people yourself, you will need the email address and LAA membership number of each person you are registering, and will need to log in for each person with that individual's email address and LAA membership number.

If you want to use the credit card option for payment, you will have to register each person individually, using  their email address and LAA membership number to log in.

The same email address can be used for multiple registrations, but it’s best to have the confirmation/invoice sent directly to the registered delegates, as then they have a record of what they have signed up for at the conference and they receive important notices and updates directly. There is an option during the registration process to have the confirmation/invoice forwarded to an additional email address, so you can use this to receive the confirmation/invoice yourself. 

ALTA members

ALTA members do not need to be logged in to get the member rate, but you will have to provide the current ALTA membership number for each person, as well as complete contact information. Please note that the ALTA Number asked for is the ALTA membership number that your Board has, rather than the user ID you use to log in to the ALTA website. No password is required to register for the conference.

Please register Trustees as ALTA members. It's particularly important not to register your Trustees under an LAA membership profile, even though the member rates are the same, as it has accounting implications.
